UTSA celebrates 37 student-athlete graduates

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics celebrated 37 fall student-athlete graduates in a ceremony on Friday night on Main Campus.

“Graduation marks the culmination of significant dedication and hard work by our student-athletes,” UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos said. “Balancing the demands of competing in an NCAA Division I sport with managing a full academic load is a challenging task. We are proud of these student-athletes and are excited for their futures. We know they will continue to be great ambassadors for UTSA.” 

UTSA's Fall Commencement is set for Saturday with ceremonies starting at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Alamodome.

UTSA’s student-athlete graduates represent:

  • 8 All-America certificates
  • 1 All-Region selections
  • 7 NCAA postseason appearances
  • 5 bowl games
  • 1 bowl victory (first in school history)
  • 3 team conference championships
  • 3 individual conference championships
  • 23 all-conference certificates
  • 1 Academic All-American
  • 4 Academic All-District honorees
  • 4 national scholar awards
  • 14 conference all-academic team selections
  • 2 conference academic medals
  • 19 conference academic honor roll selections
  • 1 NCA All-American
  • 2 top-7 NCA finishes
  • 1,214 community service hours
