SAN ANTONIO — UTSA baseball wrapped up its fall contests against Alvin CC on Friday, Nov. 8, defeating the Dolphins by a score of 25-1 in their 14-inning game at Roadrunner Field.
The offense had itself a night as they managed to put up 25 runs and 22 hits. The Roadrunners finished the night strong as they were able to score seven runs in the 13th and five runs in the 14th.
On the mound, the Roadrunners only allowed one run, unearned, and five hits on the night. The UTSA arms stuck out 11 batters and only walked six. Of the five Roadrunner pitchers, four threw three innings and two didn’t allow a hit.
Zach Royse started the game for UTSA, tossing three innings, giving up just one hit and striking out one Alvin hitter. Both Braylon Owens and Rob Orloski threw three hitless innings with three strikeouts by each arm.
Mason Lytle had an outstanding night at the plate, racking up four hits on five at-bats with one double to his name being brought home four times. Tye Odom was very productive at the dish as he managed to drive in three runs for the Roadrunners on one hit.
Both Broc Parmer and Andrew Stucky each had a big fly on the night, recording the only two home runs of the ball game.
