UTSA women’s tennis to compete in Rice Invitational

HOUSTON— UTSA women’s tennis heads back to Houston to compete in the Rice Invitational on Friday, Nov. 8 through Sunday, November 10, at the George R. Brown Tennis Center, their final event of the 2024 fall season. The Roadrunners will take on players from Baylor, Houston, Iowa State, LSU, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Rice, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UT Arlington and UTRGV.

The Rice Invitational is a three-day event with daily start times at 9 a.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. on Sunday. The Roadrunners will travel sophomore Vittoria Baccino, freshman Aoka Nagasawa, freshman Valeria Sanchez, and junior Letizia Corsini to this event.

Baccino and Sanchez are coming off an outstanding weekend where they went undefeated in the Bearkat Invitational. Corsini’s last time out was at the AAC Individual Championships where she topped the fifth seed in the tournament making it to the quarterfinals.
