COLLEGE STATION, Texas — UTSA Cross Country wrapped up the NCAA South Central Regional today, Friday, Nov. 15. The meet was hosted by Texas A&M and ran at Watts Cross Country Course. The women finished 29th in the field, led by senior Chante Dixon and the men finished 23rd in the field led by senior AJ Tyler.
The meet kicked off at 9 a.m. with the women’s 6k as Dixon led the UTSA women for the second time this year, finishing in 138th in 22:29.0. Next in line for the Roadrunners was Jadelyn Malesich at 162nd (22:56.6) edging out 182nd-place Emma Wallace (23:34.8). Rounding out the UTSA squad were Itzel Rojo (186th, 23:45.7), Jadyn Gonzales (187th, 23:46.0), Sidney Bravo (192nd, 24:06.2) and Brooke Veltman (195th, 24:21.4).
In the men’s 10k that followed, Tyler came in 97th leading all Roadrunners, with a time of 32:13.8. Next up for the Roadrunners was OJ Ruiz with a time of 34:16.4 putting him in 162nd, ahead of Idol Ramon in 167th at 34:16.4. Wrapping up the UTSA squad were Victor Charo (167th, 34:41.2), Diego Ramirez (173rd, 35:37.9) and Cortlin Salge (178th, 36:09.5).
