Women’s basketball nonconference opponents revealed

UTSA will welcome a quartet of teams into the Convocation Center before kick-starting conference play

SAN ANTONIO – Head UTSA women’s basketball coach Karen Aston officially unveiled the 2024-25 nonconference schedule on Monday, with 11 games on the docket ahead of competition in The American.

Before officially beginning the season, the Roadrunners will welcome St. Mary’s into the Convocation Center for an exhibition bout on Friday, Nov. 1.

The season will officially begin on Thursday, Nov. 7, in College Station, Texas, as UTSA heads to Reed Arena to take on SEC foe Texas A&M.

The ‘Runners will open the home slate on Saturday, Nov. 9, facing UTRGV.

UTSA will be back on the road Thursday, Nov. 14, as they visit New Mexico State, ahead of a Saturday, Nov. 16, matchup with UTEP in El Paso.

The Roadrunners will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday, Nov. 20, before competing in the 2024 D1 Women’s Thanksgiving Basketball Clasico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. As a part of the event, UTSA will face UNC Greensboro on Thursday, Nov. 28, and Towson the following Friday.

Back in the states, UTSA will host Sam Houston on Saturday, Dec. 7, ahead of another road contest that will see them take on Stanford on Monday, Dec. 16. Shortly after, UTSA will compete against UT Arlington in the Convocation Center on Thursday, Dec. 19.

The ‘Runners conclude nonconference play on Saturday, Dec. 21, visiting Texas State in a road I-35 showdown.
