Five ‘Runners earn 2023-24 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors

Zelinda Camacho, Kylie Forney, Jamie Gilbert, Madi Hays, and Taylor Jensen all received recognition

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 2023-24 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes were officially unveiled by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Tuesday, as the Roadrunners were one of 164 NCAA Division I programs to be recognized under first-year head coach Vann Stuedeman. Seniors Taylor Jensen and Jamie Gilbert were joined by the freshmen trio of Zelinda Camacho, Kylie Forney, and Madi Hays in representing the first student-athletes selected in school history. 

The award, which has been issued since the 2013-14 season, recognizes the academic prowess of softball teams across the NFCA’s membership categories. NCAA Division I led the way, with 2,573 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2023-24. NCAA Division III followed with 2,285 and NCAA Division II with 1,510. NAIA and junior colleges came in with 873 and 808 student-athletes, respectively. Five student-athletes from Penn State Brandywine earned recognition in the Other Four-Year category.
