SAN ANTONIO – IKEA Live Oak has joined UTSA Athletics as a corporate partner, it was announced Monday. This marks the first partnership between IKEA and a collegiate athletics department.

Elements of the partnership include sponsorship of the student shuttle to UTSA Football games. There will be IKEA Live Oak signage at both the campus and Alamodome pick-up and drop-off locations. For select games, the shuttle will feature an IKEA Live Oak wrap. IKEA Live Oak also will sponsor the net tape for the UTSA Volleyball program.

“We are looking forward to entering into this innovative partnership with IKEA Live Oak,” said Lisa Campos, UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. “IKEA is a well-respected brand in the home furnishings space, they are committed to making a difference in our community and we are grateful to be their first collegiate athletics department partner.”

IKEA Live Oak will feature a UTSA Athletics section as part of its Back to School section this coming fall.

"We're thrilled to bring together the innovative spirit of IKEA Live Oak and the dynamic energy of UTSA Athletics,” said Keena Garcia, IKEA Market Manager for San Antonio. “Together, we build more than furniture; we build community, spirit, and pride.”
