Bott to make PGA TOUR Americas debut at Explore NB Open

SAN ANTONIO — Former UTSA standout golfer Hunter Bott will make his PGA TOUR Americas debut this week when he competes in the Explore NB Open.

The 72-hole tournament will be contested Thursday-Sunday, July 11-14, at Mactaquac Golf Course (par 71/7,020 yards) in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Bott is slated to tee off in the first round at 12:10 p.m. CT Thursday.

A native of Montgomery, Texas, Bott wrapped up his collegiate career with the Roadrunners earlier this year. During his final campaign, he broke the program’s single-season stroke average record with a 71.94 mark. He also logged four top-10 finishes among nine total top-25 showings and turned in 14 par-or-better scorecards, including nine sub-70 rounds, en route to earning All-American Athletic Conference accolades.

Bott made his second career postseason appearance in 2024, tying for 35th place at the Austin Regional after firing a 217 that included a 4-under-par 67, the lowest score posted by a Roadrunner in an NCAA postseason tournament.

A two-time all-conference selection, Bott ended his career with a 73.5 scoring average, nine top 10s, 45 par-or-better rounds and 19 sub-70 scores.
