UTSA inks local product, New Mexico transfer Jacob King

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head men’s golf coach Matt Wernecke on Friday announced that the program has signed local product Jacob King to a National Letter of Intent. The former Boerne Champion High School star and New Mexico transfer will join the Roadrunners beginning with the 2024-25 season.

“We are looking forward to bringing Jacob back home and having him join the program,” Wernecke said. “He has a lot of talent and he is a very accomplished player. Jacob is going to bring experience and a great work ethic.”

King is the third member of the signing class, joining David Martinez (Houston, Texas/Memorial HS) and Logan Zurn (Grapevine, Texas/Midland College)
