IRVING, Texas— The No. 4 seed UTSA women's basketball team is set to make its 2024 American Women's Basketball Championship debut on Monday at 2 p.m. inside Dickies Arena. After securing a double bye courtesy of a fourth-place regular season finish, the 'Runners will meet No. 5 seed South Florida, who took down No. 13 seed Wichita State 69-62 in the second round.

If you can't make it to Dickies Arena, the quarterfinals will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with Sam Gore delivering play-by-play alongside Aja Ellison. Neal Raphael will provide the radio call in the greater San Antonio area on The Bull 93.3 FM and worldwide on the iHeartRadio app.
The No. 4 seed Roadrunners (16-13, 10-8 The American) will meet the No. 5 seed Bulls (19-13, 10-8 The American) after concluding their regular season with a 60-52 victory over Rice at the Convocation Center. That win allowed UTSA to reach 16 triumphs for the first time since the 2014-15 campaign. The victory also broke UTSA out of a six-way tie for the fourth spot and propelled the 'Runners to their highest conference finish since finishing fourth among Conference-USA in 2014-15.
USF took down the Shockers, 69-62, to advance behind impressive performances by Salese Blow and Daniela Abies. Blow scored 20 points, and Abies charted eight, with 13 rebounds and six assists. Ornella Niankan joined Blow in the double-digit scoring club with 12 points and swatted four shots across the contest.
An incredibly efficient squad, the Bulls lead The American and sit 61st nationally with a 1.07 assist/turnover ratio, a figure heavily aided by Aerial Wilson, whose 2.31 mark sits 31st in the NCAA. She dishes out 4.6 assists per game for the second-most in the AAC, and Vittoria Blasigh has been stellar for the squad, sinking 72 three-pointers en route to the league's Freshman of the Year award. Also collecting postseason honors, Romi Levy was named Newcomer of the Year and picked up all-newcomer and all-conference second-team honors after posting a team-high 14.8 ppg.
Should they advance, the Runners will compete in the semifinals on Tuesday at 6 p.m., and the championship game will be on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
