SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Athletics, in partnership with Playfly Sports, has announced its basketball in-game promotions for the 2024 American Athletic Conference portion of the schedule. The slate of promotions includes both nightly winners and grand prizes.
The breakdown of in-game promotions is included below:
Nightly Winners (prizes awarded at every home men’s and women’s basketball game)
Chuy’s Dance Off: Winner gets dinner for two at Chuy’s.
Pluckers Minute: If UTSA scores two points in the final minute of the first half, every fan receives five free wings from Pluckers.
Red McCombs Toyota Best Seat in the House: Two fans receive a free seating upgrade with a pair of tickets and two prize packs from Red McCombs Toyota.
Raising Cane’s Maniac for Caniac – Two contestants compete for their respective sections and the first one to make a basket after being spun around 10 times wins. The Raising Cane’s Maniac for Caniac consists of a rotation of three on-court contests:
· Musical Chairs
· Shoe Shuffle
· Leap Frog
Whataburger Fry Shuffle: One fan has the opportunity to guess the correct fry box for free Whataburger for themselves and their section.
Whataburger Whatascore: If UTSA scores 75 points in a game, all fans get a free Whataburger food item.
Whataburger Shot Progression: Two contestants have 30 seconds to do a layup, free throw and three-pointer. The first one to finish wins.
Whataburger Tic-Tac-Toe: Two contestants play Tic-Tac-Toe with a layup in between pieces. The first contestant with three in a row wins.
Taco Palenque: Fans get a special coupon code for a free bean and cheese taco on Sundays.
H-E-B Potato Sack Races: Two fans in race in potato sacks to compete for an H-E-B gift card.
Buffalo Wild Wings Sumo Hoops – We select two fans to dress up in inflatable sumo suits and they play one-on-one basketball to win Buffalo Wild Wings coupons for their entire section.
Grand Prizes
Americus Diamond Love Your Roadrunner: One fan will be selected to win a diamond ring to give to a loved one live at the Feb. 10 home men’s basketball game vs. East Carolina – just in time for Valentine’s Day. To enter, register to win here.
BMW Ultimate Road Trip: A drawing will give one fan a free trip to the American Athletic Conference Basketball Championships in Fort Worth in a new BMW iX. Starting Feb. 1, fans will be able to sign up to win at https://2024bmwutsabasketball.eventsbmw.com/ or at GoUTSA.com/Promotions.
Kahlig Auto Three-Point Thrills: One lucky UTSA student will be selected at each men’s and women’s basketball home game. If they can make five out of 10 three-pointers from designated spots on the floor, they win $5,000 cash.
North Park Subaru Charity Stripe: Every UTSA men’s and women’s basketball made free throw at a home game will result in a donation from North Park Subaru to Haven For Hope, which helps homeless residents in our community. A check presentation will be made to Haven For Hope at each home finale.
Wayne Wright $888 Promotion: Every time the UTSA men’s and women’s basketball team scores 88 or more points in a home game, one lucky fan is chosen to win $888 cash.
