UTSA Men's Basketball to host camps in June

SAN ANTONIO — Under the direction of ninth-year head coach Steve Henson, the UTSA men's basketball program will host a pair of mid-summer basketball camps this June at the Convocation Center.

The UTSA Men's Basketball 2023 High School Elite Camp will be held on June 10 at the UTSA Convocation Center. The Elite Camp is a one-day high intensity skills camp designed to give players the opportunity to develop advanced individual skills such as creative ball handling, running the pick-and-roll, one-on-one moves, tenacious rebounding and high-level defense. Team concepts and full-court games will also be included. The day promises to be fast-paced and intense just like we do with our college student-athletes on a daily basis. There will be plenty of drills, contests, and basketball instruction and we will have a 20-minute Award Ceremony. Parents and family are invited to attend.

The Elite Camp is limited to 30 participants and runs from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with check-in beginning at 12:00 p.m. The cost is $70 and includes a parking pass and camp t-shirt.

The UTSA Men's Basketball Day Camp will be held at the Convocation Center, June 12-14. Accepting campers from grades K-9th grade, this camp will focus on fundamentals of the game and is designed to be a fun learning experience. The camp will feature great teaching from UTSA players and coaches as well as daily competitions and games. Campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability.

The Day Camp hours run from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and costs $220.
