UTSA Baseball earns first-ever D1Baseball and Collegiate Baseball rankings, appears in two more polls

SAN ANTONIO – After a 4-0 week, the UTSA Roadrunners baseball team made its first appearance in the D1Baseball Rankings in program history, clocking in at No. 25. The Roadrunners also earned a spot on three other polls - No. 22 in Baseball America, No. 25 in Collegiate Baseball (first appearance) and No. 28 in NCBWA.

After a down week during the week of April 3, UTSA made a fantastic comeback in the week of April 10. The Roadrunners went 4-0 last week, including a win over Texas A&M and a conference series sweep over Middle Tennessee.

For the first time in program history, UTSA found itself on the D1Baseball rankings and Collegiate Baseball Poll. The Roadrunners took the No. 25 spot in D1Baseball and No. 25 in Collegiate Baseball.

The Roadrunners were ranked No. 24 in the Baseball America rankings during the week of April 3, before falling out of the poll last week. This week UTSA made its return to the list at an even higher ranking at No. 22.

UTSA was also ranked in the week of April 3 on the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll at No. 27, before falling out the next week. The Roadrunners made their return this week at No. 28.

The Roadrunners are also continuing to receive votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll, which is voted on by NCAA Division I head coaches across the nation.
