SAN ANTONIO. — Ahead of a 6 p.m. matchup against Houston on Thursday, Dec. 14, the UTSA women's basketball team has announced a quartet of promotions that fans can partake in as a part of the program's annual Hoops for the Holidays initiative.
Headlining the event, April Ancira of the Ancira Auto Group will donate $5 to the women's basketball team for each person in attendance by halftime. As a part of the festivities, spectators will receive a free limited edition UTSA-themed ugly holiday sweater upon entry while supplies last.
Fans can take advantage of several ticket promotions to support the squad, including the In-Laws Special. The final game in a series of specially discounted contests, UTSA has opened its doors to those who have grown tired of hosting their in-laws across the holiday season. After all, the ticket is cheaper than a hotel, so whether you'd like to send those in-laws to the game or need some time to relax without them, ticket prices start at $7 at the following link: goutsa.com/inlawscpecial
Also priced as low as $7, those wishing to partake in the UTSA Women's Basketball Teddy Bear Toss may do so at the following link: goutsa.com/teddytoss. Fans will receive a specialty discounted ticket and are invited to bring a stuffed animal of their choosing to the Convo, where, following a halftime announcement, they can chuck it onto the court to be collected for a local nonprofit children's organization.
