SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA baseball team has officially released its 54-game 2024 schedule, consisting of 30 home games at Roadrunner Field.
The Roadrunners open their season with five consecutive games at home, hosting UT-Arlington for a four-game opening weekend series on Feb. 16-18 and Tarleton on Feb. 20. UTSA then hits the road for the Sugar Land Classic, played at the Sugar Land Space Cowboys’ Constellation Field, on Feb. 23-25. The Roadrunners open the tournament against SFA on the 23rd, before facing Creighton on the 24th and Lamar on the 25th. UTSA closes out the month on the road, facing Big-12 opponent Houston on Feb. 27.
The squad hosts WAC powerhouse Grand Canyon to open up March on the 1st-3rd, before heading to Stephenville, Texas, to face Tarleton for the second time of the season on March 5. UTSA drives down to the coast to face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a three-game series on March 8-10. The Roadrunners return home to host ACU on March 12 and a three-game series against Big-10 opponent Northwestern on March 16-17.
UTSA heads up the road to San Marcos, Texas, for the first of two matchups against Texas State on March 19. In their first season in the American Athletic Conference, the Roadrunners will host powerhouse East Carolina on March 22-24 to open up league action. UTSA will then face Baylor in Waco, Texas, on March 26, before closing out the month with a AAC series against Tulane in New Orleans on March 28-30.
The Roadrunners go across town to face UIW on April 2, before returning to Roadrunner Field to host Charlotte on April 5-7. The team head to College Station, Texas, to face Texas A&M on April 9. After that, UTSA faces Memphis on the road in Tennessee on April 12-14. The next week at home, the Roadrunners host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (April 16) and UAB (April 19-21). UTSA will see Rice for three games in Houston on April 26-28.
The team hosts their longest home stretch of the season with eight consecutive games at Roadrunner Field from April 30 through May 14, which consists of a midweek game against Texas State on April 30, a pair of three-game series against Wichita State (May 3-5) and South Florida (May 10-12), and a midweek matchup against UIW on May 14. The Roadrunners close out the regular season in Boca Raton, Fla., where they will face Florida Atlantic for a three-game conference-closing series on May 16-18.
The American Athletic Conference Tournament is set to take place in Clearwater, Fla., on May 22-26.
