SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Athletics, in partnership with INFLCR, has launched the Runners Go Bold Exchange, a comprehensive Name, Image and Likeness platform that will connect student-athletes and businesses for NIL partnerships, endorsements and opportunities.
“We are excited to launch the Runners Go Bold Exchange through our great partnership with INFLCR, the industry leader in the NIL space,” UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos said. “We are committed to providing all of our student-athletes with the best tools possible to maximize their NIL opportunities. This platform will not only allow our student-athletes to market themselves for business partnerships, but also provide important educational information to set them up for success.”
After registering on the Runners Go Bold Exchange, businesses will be able to access a database of UTSA student-athletes in a manner that is searchable by a variety of criteria and to contact student-athletes directly. This will provide student-athletes the opportunity to participate in all brand-focused activities that meet the legal requirements set forth by the Texas State Legislature and follow UTSA NIL protocols.
After initial registration, all discussions and negotiations will take place directly between outside parties and UTSA student-athletes.
The Runners Go Bold Exchange is a free platform available to all UTSA student-athletes. Its content-delivery system allows student-athletes to easily access photos, videos and other media content that bolsters their online presence. The system also provides analytics that will help student-athletes measure their audience engagement.
In partnership with INFLCR, the Runners Go Bold Exchange includes a payment processing tool that will ensure secure payment for student-athletes, as well as an automatic tally on a consolidated 1099 tax form, a feature that will help student-athletes achieve more efficient and accurate tax reporting. In addition, the platform will provide comprehensive education on NIL issues, including financial literacy.
UTSA is just the latest collegiate athletics department to partner with INFLCR, which stands as the national leader in athlete brand building, NIL opportunity creation and content management. Its platforms are currently used by more than 3,500 collegiate and professional sports teams, and more than 70,000 active athlete users.
"I'm thrilled to see UTSA Athletics take this bold step forward in the world of Name, Image, and Likeness with the launch of the Runners Go Bold Exchange,” said INFLCR General Manager Sean Kelly. “Through the exchange, UTSA student-athletes will be able to harness their NIL potential and open new doors to exciting opportunities."
