SAN ANTONIO – Coming off a phenomenal season in which the Roadrunners broke multiple records and advanced to the Conference USA Championship, the UTSA baseball team has officially released its 56-game 2023 schedule, consisting of 33 home games.
The Roadrunners open their season at home, hosting eight consecutive games at Roadrunner Field. UTSA opens the campaign against Tarleton State on Feb. 17-19. The team then hosts Houston on Feb. 22, before welcoming Saint Mary's (CA) for four games on Feb. 24-26. The Roadrunners hit the road for the first time and conclude the month of February at Big 12 opponent Baylor on Feb. 28.
UTSA then returns home to host crosstown rival UIW on March 1. The Roadrunners welcome Pac-12 opponent Utah on March 3-5, before heading up the highway to face Texas State in San Marcos, Texas on March 7. UTSA then hosts Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 10-12 in its last non-conference weekend of the schedule, before heading east to face SFA in a midweek matchup on March 14.
The Roadrunners open up the Conference USA schedule against Florida Atlantic, hosting the Owls on March 17-19. UTSA then opens up their first trip of two five-game road stretches, first stopping at UTRGV on March 21. The Roadrunners then head to Houston for a three-game series at Rice on March 24-26. UTSA concludes the road stretch in Corpus Christi, Texas, facing the Islanders of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on March 28.
UTSA returns home to host WKU on March 31-April 2, before beginning its second five-game stretch of the season. The Roadrunners drive across town to face UIW on April 4, before heading to Charlotte, N.C., to face the 49ers on Thursday through Sunday, April 6-8, for Easter weekend. UTSA then closes out the road stretch against SEC powerhouse Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, on April 11.
The Roadrunners host Middle Tennessee for a weekend series on April 14-16, before welcoming Texas State to Roadrunner Field on April 18. UTSA then heads to the Sunshine State for a three-game series against FIU in Miami on April 21-23. The Roadrunners return home to host HCU on April 25, before a weekend series against UAB in Birmingham, Ala., on April 28-30.
UTSA opens another long home stretch, hosting seven games in 12 days at Roadrunner Field. The home stretch begins with a midweek matchup against Sam Houston on May 2. The Roadrunners host a three-game series against Rice on May 5-7, before closing out their home schedule against Dallas Baptist on May 12-14.
The Roadrunners hit the road for their final four games. UTSA heads to Abilene, Texas, to face ACU on May 16. The team then concludes the regular season on May 18-20 in Ruston, La., against familiar foe Louisiana Tech.
The Conference USA Tournament is set to take place in Houston at Rice's stadium on May 24-28.
