UTSA signs Texas A&M transfer Faye Wilbricht

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head volleyball coach Carol Price-Torok announced Monday that the program has signed Texas A&M transfer Faye Wilbricht as part of the 2023 signing class.

A native of San Antonio and Holy Cross High School product, Wilbricht spent the past two seasons as an outside hitter for the Aggies. She appeared in 10 matches and recorded seven kills, 7.5 points, two digs and one block. She also was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll as a sophomore and the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll the year prior.

"We are proud to have a San Antonio native like Faye back in town and as a member of our program," said Price-Torok. "Faye will add a high level of experience to our already talented group of outsides and continue to push the level of competitiveness in the gym. We are excited to welcome Faye back home."

A TAPPS first-team all-state performer and four-time all-district selection at Holy Cross of San Antonio, Wilbricht guided the Knights to four straight playoff appearances, including a state runner-up finish as a freshman and to the state semifinal round as a senior. She played club volleyball for the San Antonio Juniors and was selected to the Girls Junior National Championship All-Tournament Team.

Wilbricht joins Georgia native Kai Bailey, Aliah Giroux, a transfer from Southern Miss, and Mia Soerensen, a transfer from Kent State, in the 2023 signing class.
