Miller earns Collegiate Baseball All-American honors

SAN ANTONIO – Junior relief pitcher Simon Miller was named to Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's All-American Third Team, announced the organization on Thursday.

Miller is just the fourth Roadrunner to earn All-American honors. The last time a Roadrunner was named to Collegiate Baseball's All-American teams was in 2015 when Jesse Baker earned second team honors.

The closer has had one of the most outstanding seasons by a UTSA pitcher in school history. His ERA led the nation from March 20 through April 10. His 12 saves are the second-best in the Conference USA and 10th best in the nation. His eight wins is the most in the Conference USA and best by a relief pitcher in the league, while also being 30th in the nation.

The Canton, Texas, native etched his name in the UTSA Baseball program record book throughout this season. In individual single-season records, he is fifth in ERA, seventh in wins, second in saves and ninth in strikeouts. Miller also moved up in four individual career records, ranking sixth in career ERA, fourth in career opponents' batting average, 11th in career wins and third in career saves.
