SAN ANTONIO – The No. 22 UTSA baseball team fell to Sam Houston, 18-2, on Tuesday night at Roadrunner Field.

BREAKDOWN OF THE GAME
Sam Houston set the tone early, scoring four in the first inning.
The Roadrunners got on the board in the second frame, scoring a pair of runs on a solo home run by Sammy Diaz and an error on a sacrifice bunt, as UTSA cut its deficit to 4-2.
The Bearkats then extended their lead to 9-2 as they scored five runs in the third frame.
Sam Houston scattered six runs across the fifth and sixth innings to extend its lead to 15-2.
Pitching a couple innings in relief, Ryan Ward struck out four batters and pitched a three up, three down eighth frame.
The Bearkats added three more in the ninth and the Roadrunners were not able to keep up as UTSA fell to Sam Houston, 18-2.
