Harrison lands on CSC Academic All-District Team

AUSTIN, Texas — UTSA senior David Harrison has landed on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team.

Harrison boasts a 3.62 cumulative GPA as a finance major and is the first UTSA men's golfer to earn academic all-district honors since Mike Mezei in 2004. A 2022 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar, the Trophy Club, Texas, native is a four-time member of the Conference USA Honor Roll. Harrison, who serves as President of UTSA's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, also has made the UTSA President's List and Dean's List once apiece and the Honor Roll four times.

On the course, Harrison posted a 74.19 stroke average and four top-30 finishes in 2022-23. He fired a 4-under-par 212 (68-71-73) to tie for 19th at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate last September and he logged his top finish of 13th after carding a 5-under 211 (72-71-68) at the Trinity Forest Invitational in October. He grabbed a share of 27th at the C-USA Championships with a 226 (76-77-73) and finished 30th (71-79—150) at The Clerico.

The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the athletic realm and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 21.
