Bott tabbed C-USA Golfer of the Week

DALLAS — UTSA senior Hunter Bott has been named Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week for his performance in The Aggie Invitational, the league office announced Wednesday.

Bott registered his fifth career top-10 finish with a tie for 10th place on April 10-11 in Bryan, Texas. The senior from Montgomery, Texas, carded a 3-under-par 213 on the 7,227-yard, par-72 Traditions Club layout in logging his top finish and best 54-hole total of the season.

After opening with a 74, Bott fired a 4-under 68 to match his season-best round before wrapping up the event with a 1-under 71. He ended the week with 12 birdies, the fourth-best tally in the field, and placed ahead of a pair of nationally ranked players. Bott now owns a team-best 73.35 scoring average and three top-15 showings in 2022-23

This marks Bott's first career C-USA Golfer of the Week award, and it is the second of the season for the Roadrunners, as Jack Wehman was honored on Nov. 9.

The C-USA Golfer of the Week award is presented by Blenders Eyewear.

Bott and the Roadrunners will be back on the course April 24-27 at the C-USA Championships at Texarkana Country Club.
