Entering the third round in a tie with New Orleans for 10th place, the Roadrunners jumped three places into seventh after logging the third-best team score of the day. UTSA posted a 297 on Tuesday and finished with a 905 after opening with a 298-310—608 on Monday. The Roadrunners ended up one shot ahead of Illinois State, two in front of Michigan, three better than New Orleans and five ahead of SMU in the 14-team field.

Fanfelle fired a 1-over 72 that featured five birdies, finishing in a tie for 30th with a 227 (76-79-72).
