SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women's golf team will make its second trip to the state of Oklahoma to compete in the Dale McNamara Invitational, which will be held on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 10-11, at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow.
The Roadrunners will line up against Boise State, BYU, James Madison, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee, Nebraska, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Sacramento State, Sam Houston, South Florida and host Tulsa. The field will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts scheduled for both days.
UTSA is coming off a 13th-place finish at the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 24-26 in Norman, Oklahoma. Camryn Carreon led the way with an even-par 210 (68-72-70) on the par-70 Belmar Golf Club layout to tie for 20th place.
Morgan Ellison leads the Roadrunners with a 72.5 stroke average through six rounds this season, while Carreon is close behind with a 72.83 mark.
The Roadrunners have played in the Dale McNamara Invitational twice previously, including finishing ninth last year. Ana Gonzalez placed ninth individual with an even-par 216 while Hunter Nugent tied for 39th (227).
