IRVING, Texas – UTSA sophomore forward Anna Sutter has been named to the 2022 Conference USA Preseason All-Conference Team the league office announced on Wednesday.
Sutter, a Switzerland native, came to San Antonio last year as a true freshman and led the Roadrunners in goals scored (7) as well as tying for the team lead in points with 16. Sutter also led the team in game-winning goals (3) despite missing six games due to injury.
Sutter was named to the All-Conference USA Second Team as well as the Conference USA Freshman Team thanks to her stellar freshman campaign. She also earned the C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and was named to the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll.
Sutter joins Ellis Patterson (2020), Emma Makela (2014) and Anna Grotle (2013) as Roadrunners who have been voted to the Conference USA Preseason All-Conference Team.
Along with Sutter's preseason honors, Conference USA also announced the preseason poll with UTSA being voted to finish sixth, as voted on by fellow C-USA coaching staffs. This is UTSA's highest preseason ranking in the last five seasons.

The Roadrunners will open their 2022 campaign tomorrow, August 18, hosting Houston Baptist at Park West in their season lid-lifter. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed on CUSA.tv.
