UTSA garners fourth consecutive GCAA All-Academic Team award

NORMAN, Okla. — For the fourth consecutive year, the UTSA men's golf program has been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) as an All-Academic Team for posting a 3.0-or-better team GPA.

This marks the eighth GCAA All-Academic Team award the Roadrunners received under head coach John Knauer, who recently retired after 14 seasons at the helm of the program.

Last week, Hunter Bott, Christian Fanfelle and David Harrison were named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars for their performance on the course and in the classroom. Fanfelle collected his third career All-America Scholar award and Bott was honored for the second straight year, while Harrison picked up his first certificate.

That trio helped lead the Roadrunners to the 2021 Lone Star Invitational title and a runner-up finish at the 2022 Conference USA Championship. It marked the second time in the last three league tournaments that UTSA advanced to the championship match.
