SAN ANTONIO – UTSA softball head coach Michelle Cheatham announced the signing of catcher Taylor Jensen.
Jensen joins the Roadrunners after playing the last three seasons at Florida SouthWestern State College.
"Taylor comes to us from a great program in FSW and has helped that program win a national championship in two consecutive years," Cheatham said. "She has competed at the highest level and we are excited for her to bring her talent to San Antonio and our program."
At FSW, Jensen posted a .410 batting average, recorded 118 RBIs and had 20 home runs. The Viera, Fla., native helped the Bucs win back-to-back NJCAA National Championships. She was named the 2021 NJCAA National Tournament Most Outstanding Defensive Player and was a member of the FCSAA State Tournament All-Tournament Team.
Jensen received first-team FCSAA All-State and first-team All-Suncoast Conference accolades.
