DALLAS — Conference USA on Thursday announced its broadcast schedule for the 2022 season and UTSA now has all 12 of its regular season games selected for either traditional linear television or digital streaming.
The defending conference champion Roadrunners will open their 12th season and third year under 2021 C-USA Coach of the Year Jeff Traylor on Saturday, Sept. 3, against Houston. The third meeting with the Cougars has been picked up by CBS Sports Network and will kick off at 2:30 p.m. at the Alamodome.
UTSA will make its maiden voyage to New York to face Army West Point for the third time on Sept. 10 in a game that will be televised by CBS Sports Network. A kickoff time will be announced at a later date.
The following Saturday, UTSA will make the short drive north along I-35 to Austin for its inaugural meeting with Texas. The game will be televised on Longhorn Network with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The Roadrunners then will return home to host Texas Southern on Sept. 24 in their non-conference finale. The first meeting with the Tigers is slated for 2:30 p.m. and will be televised by Stadium.
UTSA, which posted a 12-2 record last fall, will open league play in a Friday night showdown with Middle Tennessee on CBS Sports Network. The fifth all-time meeting with the Blue Raiders will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 in Murfreesboro.
The Roadrunners then will face WKU for the second straight time at the Alamodome on Saturday, Oct. 8. The rematch of last year's C-USA Championship Game is set for 5 p.m. on ESPN Networks.
UTSA then hits the road again for another Friday night broadcast, traveling to Miami to face FIU. The fourth meeting with the Panthers will air on CBS Sports Network at 7 p.m. CT on Oct. 14.
The Roadrunners then will play back-to-back 2:30 p.m. contests on Stadium, hosting North Texas on Oct. 22 before they take on UAB on Nov. 5 in Birmingham following their lone idle week of the season.
UTSA will welcome Louisiana Tech to the Alamo City on Nov. 12 for a 2:30 p.m. matchup before making the trip east to Houston to face Rice at noon on Nov. 19. Both of those league games are pegged for ESPN Networks.
The Roadrunners will wrap up the regular season on Nov. 26 with a home game against UTEP that is slated for a 2:30 p.m. broadcast on Stadium.
The 2022 Ryan C-USA Championship Game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 2, and will air on CBS Sports Network.
The 2022 C-USA alignment will feature 11 teams. Charlotte, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Rice, UAB, UTEP, UTSA and WKU comprise the conference for the 2022 football season.
The 2022 schedule complies with C-USA scheduling policies as approved by the Board of Directors.
