SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team is set to host a weekend series against North Texas April 8-10. The first pitch will be thrown on Friday at 6 p.m.
Scouting UTSA
The Roadrunners enter the game 11-20 overall and 4-5 in conference after posting a 6-0 shutout against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday evening.
Kaitlyn Morado now leads the Roadrunners with a .349 batting average. The junior has 13 runs on 15 hits, two doubles and four home runs. Marena Estell and Riley Grunberg lead the team with seven home runs each.
In the circle, Estell leads with a 4.15 ERA. She has a 3-7 record, pitching 52.1 innings with 30 strikeouts.
Scouting North Texas
The Mean Green come to Roadrunner Field 21-7 overall and 10-2 in conference play after a 3-0 sweep of UTEP over the weekend.
Lexi Cobb leads the team with a .403 batting average, including 19 runs on 27 hits and five doubles. Ashley Peters leads North Texas in the circle with a 2.28 ERA and an 11-3 record, pitching 89 innings with 86 strikeouts.
