SAN MARCOS, Texas – The UTSA softball team dropped an 8-0 decision at Texas State on Tuesday evening.
The Bobcats were on the board early with three runs from five hits in the bottom of the second to lead 3-0.
In the bottom of the fourth, Texas State scored five more runs, including a three-run homer, to extend the lead to eight and clinch the game.
Alexa Williams made the start, pitching two innings with a strikeout. Jamie Gilbert came in for the other two innings and recorded two strikeouts.
UTSA had two hits on the day.
The Roadrunners return to the field this weekend when they host Southern Miss.
