UTSA hosts Texas State on Wednesday

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team returns to Roadrunner Field to host Texas State tomorrow at 6 p.m.
 
Scouting UTSA
The Roadrunners enter the game 9-17 overall and 3-3 in conference after defeating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 9-3 on March 22.
 
Kat Ibarra continues to lead the team with a .251 batting average. The sophomore has 22 runs on 27 hits, three triples, three doubles and four home runs. Riley Grunberg, Marena Estell and Camryn Robillard lead the team with five homers each.
 
In the circle, Estell leads with a 3.82 ERA. She has a 2-6 record, pitching 47.2 innings with 25 strikeouts.
 
Scouting Texas State
The Bobcats come into the matchup 17-13 overall and 5-4 in Sun Belt Conference play after a 3-0 sweep of Coastal Carolina in last weekend's series.
 
Cat Crenek leads the team with a .426 batting average, including 13 runs on 23 hits, a pair of doubles and one triple. Jessica Mullins leads the Bobcats in the circle with a 2.39 ERA, pitching 117 innings with 138 strikouts.
