SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team opens its conference home slate this weekend when it hosts Charlotte March 18-20 at Roadrunner Field.
Friday's first pitch is set for 6 p.m. Saturday will start at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m.
Scouting UTSA
UTSA enters the weekend 7-15 and 2-1 in conference play after 4-0 loss to Texas State on Tuesday.
Kat Ibarra leads the team with a .344 batting average. The sophomore has 20 run on 22 hits, two doubles, three triples an four home runs. Marena Estell leads the Roadrunners in the circle with a 4.68 ERA, pitching 42.1 innings and 21 strikeouts.
Scouting Charlotte
The 49ers come into the series with 19-7 and 1-2 in C-USA play after a 8-1 loss to UNC Greensboro on Tuesday.
Charlotte opened the conference slate with WKU, claiming game two of the series 4-2.
Bailey Vannoy leads the team with a .435 batting average and has 28 runs, on 37 hits, six doubles, three triples and nine home runs on the season.
