Roadrunners set for Monday road matchup with Southern Miss

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team travels to Hattiesburg, Miss. on Monday to take on Southern Miss at 6 p.m.
 
The Roadrunners enter the contest 5-16 overall and 2-8 in conference after a 7-57 loss to North Texas on Saturday. Chantel Govan led the team with 12 points and Jadyn Pimentel followed right behind with 11. Queen Ulabo put up 10 boards.
 
Lapraisjah Johnson continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 9.1 points per game. Ulabo remains on top with 116 rebounds, averaging 6.1 per game and Pimentel continues to lead the team and the conference in steals per game with 2.5.
 
Scouting Southern Miss
The Lady Eagles come into the game with a 14-7 overall record and 6-4 in C-USA action. 
 
Southern Miss just defeated Florida Atlantic 79-60 Saturday in Hattiesburg. Melyia Grayson posted a double-double putting up 32 points and 10 rebound to lead the team.
                                                                                                                                  
Domonique Davis leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game, and rebounds with 16.2 per game.
 
Last Meeting
This is the 14th meeting between the two teams with Southern Miss leading 12-1. The last meeting was Jan. 23, 2021.
