SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team returns to the field this weekend to compete in the Texas Classic in Austin on Feb. 27-28. The weekend schedule has been adjusted due to weather in the area.
The Roadrunners will take on No. 22 Arizona State on Sunday at 12 p.m. and No. 23 Texas at 5 p.m. To close out the tournament, UTSA will face Tulsa on Monday at 11 a.m.
The Roadrunners head to Austin 3-7 after a 2-2 showing at the Cardinal Invitational. UTSA closed the tournament with an 11-5 defeat of UIW. UTSA recorded two home runs and 14 hits against the Cardinals.
The Longhorns are 5-6 going into the weekend after a 2-9 weekend loss to Notre Dame.
Tulsa comes to Austin 3-6 following a 2-3 loss to Louisiana Tech on Sunday.
Arizona State is currently 7-3 this season after a 10-0 five-inning win over UTEP on Feb. 20.
