SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team opens its home slate for the 2022 season with a matchup against Green Bay tomorrow night at 6 p.m.
The Roadrunners come into the game 0-5 on the season after playing in the Houston Invitational and traveling to Huntsville to take on South Dakota.
Kat Ibarra is leading UTSA in runs this season with four and one home run. Ciarra Mata followed Ibarra with three runs. Emily Johnson has recorded a team-leading batting average with .333 and Riley Grunberg is right behind with a .308 average after starting in all five games.
Alexa Williams leads the Roadrunners in the circle with a 5.40 ERA and four strikeouts in just 8.1 innings.
Scouting Green Bay
The Phoenix come to the matchup 3-2 after a showing at the UIW Invitational. Green Bay will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and cross-town foe UIW before traveling to Roadrunner Field.
Tiffany Glese leads Green Bay with five runs scored with a team-leading seven hits and three stolen bases. Becca Edwards has recorded a team-high .500 batting average and a 1.100 slugging percentage.

This is the first matchup in program history for the two teams.
