UTSA honored by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS — The UTSA men's and women's cross country teams have been named All-Academic Teams by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
 
Under the direction of cross country coach David Hartman and UTSA Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox, he UTSA men earned a spot on the team after posting a 3.24 cumulative GPA through the Fall 2021 semester, while the women logged a 3.13 cumulative GPA.
 
Last summer, the Roadrunners saw both track & field teams honored with the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, while eight Roadrunners — Bashiru Abdullahi, Oreoluwa Adamson, Lacee Barnes, Ingeborg Gruenwald, Joel McFarlane, Andrew Pirog, Grant Szalek and Alanah Yukich — were tabbed USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes for the 2021 season.
 
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
