DALLAS – UTSA volleyball libero Mia Ybarra received the Conference USA Fall Spirit of Service Award, announced by the conference office on Monday.
Ybarra has been an active member of the UTSA community on and off the court throughout her time as a Roadrunner. She will graduate in May with a degree in communications with a 3.46 GPA.
The senior has been active in several campus committees, including acting as the SAAC volleyball representative, the Roadrunner Excellence and Leadership Institute and the Athletics Inclusive Excellence Board. She also volunteered her time to the UTSA Day of Service, the Methodist Children's Hospital, Rowdy Readers and For the Kids Dance Marathon.
Ybarra led the team in digs this season with 359 and totaled 53 assists and 15 service aces. The defensive specialist was named to the Dean's List and honor roll twice and was a three-time C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient during her time at UTSA.
