BOCA RATON, FLA. – UTSA soccer saw its historic and record-breaking season come to a close on Wednesday, following an ODU golden goal in the 93rd minute.
UTSA fell in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Tournament against ODU Wednesday 1-0. In the 93rd minute, Monarch midfielder shot a ball cross-net to teammate Riley Kennett who converted, giving the Monarchs the win.

The loss marks UTSA's first loss since September 24, as the Roadrunners were undefeated in their last eight matches. The overtime match was UTSA's eighth on the season and was its first overtime loss.
UTSA ends the season with a 10-5-4 record. The ten wins are tied for the second-most in school history, while the overall winning percentage of 63% is tops in the record books.
The Roadrunners are expected to return the majority of their roster for the 2022 season. UTSA is set to lose two players from this year's roster, Ellis Patterson and Alyssa Blankenship.
Patterson is the school's all-time leader in assists with 21 and is second in school history for career points scored. On Monday, Patterson was named Second Team All-Conference by Conference USA.
