SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA volleyball team closes out the regular season this weekend at Rice. Friday's match takes place at 6 p.m. and first serve on Saturday is set for 2 p.m.
Scouting UTSA
UTSA enters the weekend 8-14 overall and 5-5 in C-USA after splitting the series with UTEP over the weekend.
Kirby Smith currently leads the team in kills with 148 and Amanda Ifeanyiis close behind with 125. Amanda Ifeanyiis on top with 54 blocks, while Mia Ybarraleads with 315 digs.
Scouting Rice
Rice comes into this weekend 15-5 and 10-0 in conference, making them the only undefeated team in the West Division. The Owls played at UAB last weekend where they swept the Blazers to remain undefeated.
Rice is led by Nicole Lennon with 297 kills and Ellie Bichelmeyer with 148. Nia McCardell is on top with 228 digs, while Anota Adekunle leads with 54 blocks.
