Roadrunners to make second straight trip to Sooner State for Dale McNamara Invitational

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women's golf team will travel to the state of Oklahoma for the second straight time to compete in the Dale McNamara Invitational on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 11-12, at the Golf Club of Oklahoma (par 72/6,235 yards).
 
The Roadrunners — 42nd in the latest Golfweek collegiate team rankings — will line up against BYU, Fresno State, Kansas State, Lamar, Nebraska, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Sam Houston State, SMU, Texas State, UNLV and host Tulsa for the 54-hole event. The field will play 36 holes on Monday and the final round is slated for Tuesday with 8:30 a.m. shotgun starts scheduled for each day. 
 
UTSA is coming off an eighth-place showing at the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 26-27 in Norman, Okla. Camryn Carreon paced the Roadrunners by tying for 21st with a 214 (73-70-71), while Ana Gonzalez was 27th with a 216 (74-70-72).
 
Hunter Nugent leads the UTSA lineup with a 71.9 stroke average this season, while Carreon's 72.1 stands second. Nugent and Hannah Holzmann each own a top-10 finish through the first three tournaments this fall.
