OXFORD, Miss. – The UTSA volleyball team fell to Coastal Carolina 3-1 Saturday afternoon at the Ole Miss Invitational.
The Chanticleers won the first set 25-20. The Roadrunners led to open the set, but Coastal Carolina came back and tied the set at eight. The Chanticleers took the lead and held onto it until the final point.
The second set started close but short runs helped UTSA take the lead and claim the set 25-18 and tie the match 1-1.
Coastal Carolina swept the final two sets (25-15, 25-22), scoring early and hitting point surges to keep the Roadrunners from being able to bridge the gap.
The Roadrunners are back in action on Tuesday when they travel across town to take on UIW at 6 p.m.
