SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA volleyball team opens the 2021 season this weekend in Austin. The Roadrunners will face No. 20 San Diego on Saturday at 2 p.m. and the No. 1 ranked longhorns on Sunday.
Scouting UTSA
UTSA comes into this weekend with a 3-1 victory over Sam Houston in their scrimmage on August 21. The Roadrunners finished the 2021 spring season 7-11 overall and 5-7 in Conference USA action. UTSA was ranked fifth in the West division in the preseason poll.
Notable players to watch out for this 2021 season are Courtney Walters, Hunter Coppola, Bianca Ejesieme and Jessica Landridge. Walters led the team in assists last season with a total of 704, while Coppola prevailed in kills with 173. Ejesieme and Langridge tied with 50 blocks each.
