Roadrunners announce fall schedule

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head women's golf coach Summer Batiste on Thursday announced the program's fall schedule, which features four tournaments held in three different states.

The Roadrunners will open their fifth season under Batiste on Sept. 13-14 when they travel to Denton, Texas, for the Sam Golden Invitational hosted by North Texas at Wildhorse Golf Club.

UTSA then will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., for the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship on Sept. 20-21 at Cherokee Country Club.

The Roadrunners close out the fall slate with back-to-back events in the state of Oklahoma. UTSA will play in the Schooner Fall Classic on Sept. 26-27 at Belmar Golf Club in Norman before traveling to Tulsa for the Dale McNamara Invitational on Oct. 11-12 at the Golf Club of Oklahoma.

"We are very excited about our fall schedule," said Batiste, a two-time Conference USA Coach of the Year. "Every tournament provides us the opportunity to compete against not only the best in our region, but some of the best in the country. Not only will this schedule be a great test for our team, but it will prepare us as we look to continue our postseason streak."

UTSA's spring schedule will be announced at a later date.
