SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA softball team fell to UAB 12-0 in five innings Sunday afternoon at Roadrunner Field.
The Blazers were on the board early with a two-run homer in the top of the first.
UAB added two more runs in the third to extend the lead (4-0).
In the top of the fourth, the Blazers scored seven runs on seven hits to lead 11-0.
Another run in the fifth closed out the game.
Jamie Gilbert, Marena Estell, Clarissa Hernandez and Tatum Seith all made appearances in the circle.
The Roadrunners are back in action on Friday when they travel to Denton to take on North Texas.
