DALLAS – Abby Kassal was named to the Conference USA All-Academic First Team, announced by the conference office on Sunday.
Kassal holds a 3.94 GPA in politics and is a two-time C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient and Commissioner's Honor Roll member. She has also made the President's list, Dean's List and honor roll during her time at UTSA.
The Greenwood Village, Colo., native started every game this season, recording four goals with an assist for nine points. She also had 28 shots with 17 on target this season.
The redshirt sophomore scored both games against Rice and UTEP, helping the Roadrunners defeat the Miners for the first time in program history.
Kassal led the team in points (nine), goals (four), shots (28), shots on goal (17) and tied for game winning goals with one.
