Roadrunners close season in loss at North Texas

DENTON, Texas – The UTSA soccer team closed out its regular season with a 3-0 loss to North Texas Friday night.
 
UNT dominated the first half with nine shots.
 
With just 10 seconds remaining in the first half, the Mean Green found the back of the net to lead 1-0 at the break.
 
UNT extended its lead to two with a goal in the 60th minute.
 
North Texas clinched the win with another goal in the 78th minute to lead 3-0.
 
UTSA recorded seven shots with two on target as the Mean Green posted 19. Ellis Patterson and Abby Kassal had two shots each on the day.
 
Jil Schneider recorded six saves, while Taylor Rath entered in the second half and recorded two saves.
 
The Roadrunners finished the 2021 spring season with a 3-7-1 overall record and 1-5 in C-USA action.
