Ceolin wins ninth straight as UTSA tops UT Arlington

SAN ANTONIO – Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil) won his ninth straight singles point to lead UTSA men's tennis to a 4-3 win over UT Arlington on Saturday afternoon at the UTSA Tennis Center. 
"This was a great win at home," UTSA head coach Sergey Avdeyev said. "UTA played good tennis. They swung loose and made a very tough for us. We have a quick turnaround and we will play away match vs Oregon on Tuesday."
The Roadrunners picked up their seventh home win in eight tries to wrap up the season schedule at the UTSA Tennis Center. 
Ceolin won on court 2, his ninth straight win, with a 6-2, 6-4 result. UTSA also picked up wins on court 5, behind Javier Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) and on court 6 behind Garrett Skelly (The Woodlands, Texas). 
UTSA claimed the doubles point on courts 1 and court 3, with Ceolin and Slava Gulin (Moscow, Russia) winning on court 1, 6-3, and Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) and Skelly winning on court 3, 7-5. 
UTSA (13-6) will return to action on Tuesday, traveling to face Oregon to conclude the regular season schedule.
