UTSA unveils outdoor schedule

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA track & field program has unveiled its 2021 outdoor schedule, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox announced Monday.
 
The Roadrunners will open their outdoor season on March 18-20 when they host the UTSA Invitational at Park West Athletics Complex. UTSA will welcome Baylor, Kansas State, Rice, Stephen F. Austin, Texas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas State, UIW, UTEP and UTRGV to the Alamo City for the first of two home meets this year.
 
UTSA then has a pair of road meets on the slate. The Roadrunners will make the short trip north to Austin for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on March 25-27 before they head to College Station for the Texas A&M Team Invitational on April 9-10.
 
The Roadrunner Invitational is scheduled for April 15-17 at Park West Athletics Complex. UTSA will host Rice, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UIW, UTEP and UTRGV in the three-day meet.
 
More information regarding attendance at UTSA's two home meets will be released at a later date.
 
The J. Fred Duckett Twilight is next on the docket, as UTSA will make the trek east along I-10 on April 24 to Rice's campus in Houston.
 
The following weekend, the Roadrunners will send athletes to compete in both the Texas State Invitational on April 30-May 1 in San Marcos and the Alumni Muster on May 1 in College Station.
 
The Conference USA Outdoor Championships on May 13-16 will mark the first trip out of state during the outdoor season for the Roadrunners, as they will travel to Murfreesboro, Tenn., for the four-day league meet.
 
The NCAA Outdoor West Preliminary Round is slated for May 27-29 in College Station and the NCAA Outdoor Championships will be held on June 9-12 in Eugene, Ore.
