HOUSTON – The UTSA soccer team defeated Houston Baptist 1-0 Sunday evening.
The Roadrunners scored the lone goal in the 62nd minute. Off a free kick, Abby Kassal fed the ball in front of the goal as Sasjah Dade popped up and headed the ball into the net for her first career goal.
UTSA recorded 18 shots on the day while the Huskies had 13. Kassal led the team with five shots with three on target. Jil Schneider posted six saves in the game.
The Roadrunners return to the field on Friday when they host Southern Miss at 7 p.m.
