Roadrunners set for Trinity Forest Invitational

SAN ANTONIO — Fresh off an impressive performance at the Cabo Collegiate at TPC San Antonio, the UTSA men's golf team will travel to Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational on Sunday-Tuesday, March 7-9.
 
The Roadrunners will compete against Abilene Christian, Ball State, Florida Atlantic, Lamar, Little Rock, Louisville, Kansas City, Rice, TCU, Sam Houston, host and No. 14 SMU, No. 18 North Texas and UT Arlington in the 54-hole tournament that will be contested on the 7,330-yard, par-71 Trinity Forest Golf Club layout. The field will play 18 holes with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. each day.
 
UTSA is coming off an eighth-place finish at the Cabo Collegiate, where they finished ahead of five nationally ranked teams, including No. 1 Arizona. Christian Fanfelle tied for 13th after carding a 1-over-par 217 (77-69-71) to lead the way, while Chad Sewell ended up with a share of 17th after posting a 2-over 218 (77-70-71).
 
The Roadrunners finished ninth at last season's Trinity Forest Invitational, which was held in September 2019, behind David Harrison, who tied for 23rd with a 1-under par 212.
